We opened our doors in July of 2009 with one idea: a tattoo and piercing studio dedicated to great work in a safe, clean, genuinely modern environment — no old-school shop attitude required.

We're not the coolest shop in East Texas — but we believe we're the best. With over 35 years of combined tattoo and piercing experience, Resurrection Ink has grown into one of the top ink shops in East Texas.

Built by a Tyler native

East Texas native and veteran John Mahfood founded Resurrection Ink after traveling the world and bringing home what he'd learned, along with a genuine commitment to raising the standard for what a tattoo shop is supposed to be.
